Catch Your Breath's 'SAVAGES TOUR' ft. Until I Wake and Of Virtue

Catch Your Breath's 'SAVAGES TOUR' ft. Until I Wake and Of Virtue

Following the deluxe release of Catch Your Breath's debut album Shame On Me, the band crossed the pond for the very first time on their UK/EU 'Savages Tour.' I first discovered these guys during lockdown in 2020 after the release of their single "Dial Tones," so I had pretty high hopes going into their London headliner at Islington"s O2 academy. With support from Of Virtue and Until I Wake, this show was set to be a good one–the energy seemed to be buzzing before I had even step foot inside the venue. Seeing people in the queue excitedly talking about what they hoped to hear, and exchanging themed bracelets, really set the mood for what was to come once the doors opened.

If there was one thing that was shared between band and crowd alike, it was definitely the energy. Right off-the-bat, the crowd was gave it their all. I had never seen that many crowd surfers during an opening song before–which happened to be "Ghost Inside The Shell." There's something so heartwarming about being able to see and feel how much love there is for the artist in the room, and this is something that was felt to an overwhelming level during Catch Your Breath's set.

It's safe to say that the band exceeded my high expectations. There were many moments during their set where the crowd was significantly louder than the band members themselves. Everyone in that room seemed to be singing as loud as they possibly could. The crowds reaction to "Dial Tones" was absolutely insane–you just had to be there to understand what it was like. I felt a similar sentiment during "Good In Goodbye," and I can say with complete certainty that there wasn't a dry in the house. The track on it's own radiates emotion, and when accompanied by frontman Josh Mowery's speech about it's true meaning, the feels ran extra high. That being said, things picked right back up on the next song, "Savages." It's catchy lyrics and attention-grabbing guitar got the crowd right back into it.

The London date of the Savages Tour will go down as being one of my favorite shows I've been to this year. They're definitely not a band to be missed.
