In the current era of the pop punk revival, there’s a band that we all need to keep our eyes (and ears) on. Cultivate’s set at the Foundations room in House of Blues Anaheim solidifies that they can bring up the energy whether they are playing for local scenesters or a cocktail lounge. Coming onstage after a few singer-songwriter acts, they closed out the night with songs from their new album, Where is Here?. They emulate a 90’s-y2k pop punk sound with some personal embellishments that makes their sound unique and vibrant. The band focuses on audience and interpersonal connection, jumping off stage to vibe with the audience and bantering between songs onstage. It seems the primary directive for Cultivate is to bring the vibes up and have fun.
