Fit For An Autopsy's 'The Nothing That Is' Tour Hits El Corazón In Seattle
Seattle's El Corazón was the setting for Fit For An Autopsy's R&R show – and I don't mean rest & relaxation, we're talking rough & rowdy. With 5 bands stacked on the lineup, including Bodysnatcher, Distant, Sylosis, and Judiciary, this show was one for the books. Fit For An Autopsy recently hit the road to celebrate the release of their latest album, The Nothing That Is. Showgoers who enjoy crowd surfing and stage diving were in for a treat last Wednesday night.
This performance was unlike any I have seen before. The circle pit was constant throughout the whole show, which made for a highly energetic crowd and top-tier performances from each band. Each band encouraged this, and got the most fan interaction from stage divers. When fans reached the stage to dive, artists AND venue security would push them off back into the crowd. It was a revolving cycle of divers and moshing. The stage was set with a band flag, and two multicolor flashing lights that matched up to the beat of the music.
Fit For An Autopsy having six band members made for a semi-crowded stage, but still left just enough room for stage divers to do their thing. This powerhouse of a New Jersey-based band brought superior stage presence, and played newer songs from the new album, along with older titles. Dedicated fans got to hear "Lower Purpose" as the opening song, "A Higher Level of Hate," and from the new album, "Red Horizon." El Corazón also got to hear the band's most streamed song off the new album, "Hostage." Based on the crowd's energy inside the venue that night, the setlist favorite had to be "Hellions," which was released as a single in 2023.
The metal band has been at this for fifteen-plus years, and they're still going strong. They discovered their sound in this new melodic yet intense and aggressive album. Vocalist Joe Badolato, bassist Peter Spinazola, drummer Josean Orta, and guitarists Will Putney, Patrick Sheridan, and Tim Howley, all worked harder than ever before to create a moodier and more emotion-filled album on top of their already brutal and explosive music. Hearing Nothing That Is Live made for an exciting night for fans.
