BOSTON MANOR: 'I GUESS WE'RE HERE NOW' TOUR LIVE IN OXFORD

Blackpool rock-quintet Boston Manor – consisting of Henry Cox (vocals), Mike Cunniff (guitar), Ash Wilson (guitar), Dan Cunniff (bass), and Jordan Pugh (drums) – celebrated their latest two singles, "Container" and "Sliding Doors" by heading out on their 'I Guess We're Here Now' tour. This tour was their first for 2024, and they definitely knew how to kick off the year with a bang.

On Thursday April 11th, Boston Manor hit the stage at the O2 Academy Oxford. After selling the venue out, the band upgraded to the venue's bigger room, which also sold out weeks before the show. After seeing Boston Manor last summer at a festival, I wasn't sure how they would hold up in a venue – they did not disappoint!

The O2 Academy was packed wall to wall by the time Boston Manor came on stage. The entire room was buzzing and absolutely loving every moment of their set and it's clear to see why. With high energy tracks perfectly matched with raw, honest lyrics, Boston Manor truly puts their hearts on their sleeves when it comes to connecting with their fan base. It was a beautiful moment to see the crowd giving their all to the band, by screaming lyrics back and keeping the pits moving all night; only coming to an end when the band did. Despite the intensity of the show, Boston Manor were able to slow it right down with their track "Inertia," which created a stunning contrast to the high energy songs that had come before.

Last year, Boston Manor had their 10 year anniversary of being a band, and whether you had been a fan from day one or you had just discovered them, you were sure to have a great time. By playing a mix of fan favorites such as "Foxglove" and "Halo," and newer singles there was really was something for everyone to enjoy and get involved in.

After seeing their headlining show and listening to their 2024 singles, I can honestly say that I am so excited to see what is in store for them this year. I have a feeling it is only going to get better.

Keep up with Boston Manor and future tour dates here.
